Men are from Mars, Women are from.. well just choose any other far-off planet

I am not going to compare the intellects of men and women, or even suggest that men and women are two totally opposite species. In fact, they might be quite similar after all. There is so much activity going in the brain, who knows what people are thinking. Except maybe Superman does. But women in general , according to me, think a lot. I mean, more than is even healthy for a normal human brain. They think, rethink, analyze, re-analyze every thing thats going on in their life. Now, this comes from personal experience. If any person is acting a bit off or strange, women start thinking, what did I do, did I say something bad, why are they pissed-off, are they going to commit suicide, and so on. It could just be that the person is having a bad hair day or perhaps tooth-ache. But women think of the worst possible circumstances first and worry their heart out. Contrary to popular belief, women don't think about hair, or shoes, or clothes all hours of the day. Men think about their g

The Indian Wave...

People say that history repeats itself. It sure does, but the characters are different . Long ago when civilization would have first began on earth, the land was rich, the air pure, the water sweet and calm; all untouched by the wicked human mind. India was once called the land of the golden bird. The fertile soils reaped rich golden harvests feeding a fairly large population at the time. Technology was trickling down among its veins slow and steady. To what extent the British were responsible for the accelerated growth of technology or the rapid deceleration of monetary resources is argumentative. No one can predict what would have happened without the intervention of the British. Were the seeds of cultural differences already sowed in our minds and would a partition still have been the ultimate outcome? Would we still be under the rules of kings and princes and not 'enjoying' our republican rights? Is it really possible that we would be counted among the developed countr

Farewell thee

Its been four long gloriuos years. The best phase of life one can ever live and never want to leave. Every single place here reminds me of some cherished memory. I've had my share of ups and downs, bad hair days, fun party nights and everything in between. There have been times when at the end of the day, sleep would seem like such a waste of time. "There is still so much left to do", I'd say. Even today I feel like we're leaving too soon. We haven't grown up just as yet to face the outside world. I have hated the rules and regulations, always telling us what to do, but now being on my own has become my worst fear. In this melting pot of emotions, relationships have been made, hearts have been broken, friendships have strengthened, friendships have turned to enmity, enmity has evolved to war and so on. All this forms such a major part of college life that academics has taken a back seat. Of course, the level of education was considered only when the choice of

'Holy' constitution

The other day, my friend and I were having a discussion about how it would be amazingly hilarious when I get married. I think it is bacause of two reasons: First, I am short and look like a kid. So the idea of a kid getting married would account to witnessing a child marriage, which is technically illegal in India. Second would be because I really dont believe in the 'holy' constitution of marriage and cant seem to figure out what really is the big deal about it. I am not saying that I would like to die alone in old age.. I would definitely want to drag someone along to hell. But the whole obsession about all this positive marital status is seriously frustrating. The moment you hit 21, folks start scheming about proposals from random "good" families; dropping arbitrary hints about a possible match. In some countries where arranged marriages exist, unnecessary pressure piles up on the parents to make sure their offsprings suffer the same fate as they did. The whole ide

Genesis

How does one start off their first blog? I have done a lot of research on this matter and have come to the following observations. Most people start off with a deep moving poem to make look like he/she is the grandchild of Shakespeare himself. It does the trick as the person appears to be a highly intellectual and a superior being. Ofcourse the poetry has got no connection whatsoever with the individuals personality and the average reader is left racking his brain trying to decipher the meaning of all that flowy literature. I tried my hand at poetry too though. It sure is a tough job. I ended my attempts after realising that ending lines with rhyming words (PS: sweet - tweet; you - too; mojo - jojo) doesnot constitute as a poem. Then there are the humble sorts who just introduce themselves and say what they had for breakfast, how their day went at work or how great/ sad their life is. I would personally not like to do that as there is hardly anything interesting going on in my life.
