People say that history repeats itself. It sure does, but the characters are different . Long ago when civilization would have first began on earth, the land was rich, the air pure, the water sweet and calm; all untouched by the wicked human mind. India was once called the land of the golden bird. The fertile soils reaped rich golden harvests feeding a fairly large population at the time. Technology was trickling down among its veins slow and steady. To what extent the British were responsible for the accelerated growth of technology or the rapid deceleration of monetary resources is argumentative. No one can predict what would have happened without the intervention of the British. Were the seeds of cultural differences already sowed in our minds and would a partition still have been the ultimate outcome? Would we still be under the rules of kings and princes and not 'enjoying' our republican rights? Is it really possible that we would be counted among the developed countr...
